In October 29th 1894 the Waldschlösschen, constructed by the builder Frey was established as community center of Meissen.
Later the building was also used as residential building, dormitory and kindergarten. After the kindergarten has been closed, the building was vacant for a few years.
In 1997 it was bought and restored by the SHT GmbH Stuttgart. Since September 11th 1999 the Waldschlösschen is used as conference- and banqueting house.
